Sample Web Sites
So what can you really get for $1 a month with Yen 9? You "rent" your
sub domain (instead of buying a domain) and you get 10
MB's of disk space - all for almost the same price you'll pay per year
just to register your domain through an Internet registrar. For most
people's needs what we offer is more than enough. Here are some samples
of real web sites with
descriptions and sizes. See for yourself if your needs can fit into
what we offer.
A Health and Healing Web SiteSierra Healing Arts is a small web site that offers "health and healing through
balance." Sierra Healing Arts uses 0.78 MB of storage space which
is less than 10% of what our $1 per month plan provides. A site like Sierra Healing Arts is a great candidate
for Yen 9. Their website is
http://www.sierrahealingarts.yen9.com/. Take a look.
Google Ad-Sense
Here is a site which includes Google Ad-Sense (the owner of the site
makes money if you just click on the adds). The site uses 0.4 MB which is less than 5%
of the space available to those who register for our "Basic" $1 per month plan. Visit
http://thabofletcher.com/ to see
what you can do with less than half a megabyte of space.
Parked Pages / Single Page Sites
Here is a really small site - often called a parked site. It uses only
.004 MB's (4000 bytes) of space. That's less than 1% of the space
available on the"Basic" $1 per month plan. You can see this site at
http://makhosazana.com/
Delta StoriesDelta Stories is a small organization that certifies short stories as
suitable for healing and growth. The whole site takes
0.87 MB or less than 10% of the storage available on the "Basic" plan. You can check it out at
http://deltastories.org/.
Gentle Place PublishingGentle Place Publishing is an independent
publisher selling books and CD's. Take
a look at their site at
http://gentleplace.com/.
This site is too big for our Basic Plan and even a little too big
for our Mega Plan. The site is 45 MB of which 36 MB is sound files
(mp3). In cases where you need more than 40 MB's, we
recommend
using our Sierra plan.
